Crown Land alienation notifications are a series of posters and brochures advertising the alienation of Crown Land to the public of New South Wales. The posters and brochures vary in size. Most are black and white but some are coloured.

Information recorded on the notifications poster/brochure includes: the date, time and place of auction, the property lots, a local area sketch, the auctioneer, auction terms and some notifications record the upset price, the minimum price at which an item of property may be auctioned or sold at public sale.

The notifications are arranged alphabetically by district name or suburb then chronologically.

Custody History:

The Crown Land alienation notifications were donated to the Land Titles Office and its preceding and successor agencies where they were used for (a) charting and notations to allow for the registration of titles; and (b) for reference and historical collection purposes.
