This series consists of six bundles of the New South Wales Department of Education’s printed forms “Report as to relative merit of Candidates based on Records of School Work” for the Intermediate Certificate examination. These originally recorded the students’ academic performances prior to sitting the examination, but their Intermediate Certificate results were subsequently added to the record.
The first two bundles of the series cover two years each: 1944/1945 and 1946/1947. The third, much larger bundle covers the entire period 1948-1961. The three final bundles cover one year each: 1962, 1963 and 1964.
The Intermediate Certificate (like the Leaving Certificate) was phased out from 1962.
