This series of rate cards from the Lockhart Shire Council records the subsequent payment of rates by property owners. Each year, each local council was required to set the level of, and collect rates in respect of all rateable properties within the shire district.
These rate cards consist of the following information: the name and address of both the owner and occupier, riding, description of the land, assessment number, year, and value and rate calculations.
