The medical journals were maintained to record occurrences, patient numbers and medical treatment at Peat and Milson Island. The volumes record the date; number of patients resident; restraint (male and female); seclusion (male and female); number of patients under medical treatment (male and female); deaths, injuries and violence to patients since last entry; and general observations.
Entries in the journals are arranged chronologically.
