Full description

This series is comprised of volumes containing the minutes of meetings held by the Waradgery Shire Council.

The minutes were handwritten into the volumes until 1923, when they began to be typed. Each set of minutes was signed by the President of the Shire, usually at the following meeting, when they were read and confirmed.

The minutes of every meeting usually included the following proceedings: Attendance, Confirmation of Minutes, Correspondence, Reports and General Business. At each meeting the Council variously received reports from the Shire Clerk, the Shire Engineer, the Health Inspector, and the Finance Committee.

The minutes document each decision the Council made, including matters concerning roads, buildings, bridges, sanitary concerns, public appointments, tourism and local business.
