Each double page of the volumes in this series is divided into “Cash” and “Contra”. The information given on the Cash pages includes: date received; how received (by cheque, cash, etc.); particulars of receipts – from whom received, on account of; totals – revenue, public moneys; and bank deposits – revenue, public moneys.

The Contra pages provide columns for such information as: reference to payment out of public moneys – date, amount, no. of acquittance; particulars of disbursements – date of payment, to whom payed, on account of; entered on cash book folio no…; no. of cheque; items (if any) of cheques drawn; bank withdrawals – revenue, public moneys; no. of acquittance or Treasury receipt.
