Full description

This series contains the brain post mortem reports. The reports were recorded by the Division of Forensic Medicine which was established in November 1961 as a specialist Division within the Department of Public Health later becoming the Institute of Forensic Medicine. The Division had previously been the Government Medical Officers Branch, a general purpose branch.

The A4 bundles contain the following reports: Microscopic examination, macroscopic brain report, medical report upon examination of the body [autopsy] and report of the death to coroner (including patient details and circumstances of death).
