Full description

This series consists of geological and mining maps and plans produced by the New South Wales Coal Compensation Board. Also included in the series are published topographic maps and plans produced by private companies related to mines dealt with by the Coal Compensation Board.

The series includes plans showing the seam resources of particular mines, plans showing the surface geology of mines, plans demonstrating the constraints of particular mines and plans that relate to reports on particular mines. Some of the later plans in the series include those based on aerial photographs.

All the maps and plans have been laminated and each has been given a "P" prefixed number. The plans have been arranged in plan number order. All of the maps and plans in the series have been scanned and stored electronically as jpeg and tiff files.
