Full description
This series of topographic maps show contours, spot elevations, streams, roads, place names, vegetation and administrative boundaries of New South Wales. The Department of Lands produced a standard topographic map series for New South Wales in the following map scales:
1:25,000 series covering the coast and ranges;
1:50,000 series extending over the western slopes and central region; and
1:100,000 series covering the far west region.
The Department maintained a digital topographic database showing the physical and surface features of the landscape. The topographic maps were produced as publications from this database to provide the public and other government agencies in New South Wales with access to data on the physical and surface features of the landscape.
The topographic maps are arranged chronologically by date of publication.
The physical format of this series is unfolded paper maps.
Includes revision copies in cases were the master copy cannot be located.
