This series comprises the Receipt and payment books for the Tamworth Rural Lands Protection Board.
Each volume is arranged chronologically.
Under the Pastures Protection Act of 1902 (No.111, 1902) and subsequent legislation, each Board was required to pay three per cent of its annual revenue to the Treasury and to keep minute and account books to be presented when required for inspection. These Receipt and payment books were accounting records for the Pastures Protection Fund and included information on rates for stockholders, and scalp accounts.
Custody History
These files were in the custody of the Tamworth Rural Lands Protection Board until 10 February 1995 when they were transferred to the Regional Archives.
