The series consists of bound books of minutes of Shortland County Council.
The minutes cover issues relevant to the Council's role as an electricity supplier, including extensions to the electricity service, the provision of street lighting, supply of equipment, construction, financial matters, sales, tenders, and staff issues. The minutes also record receipt of reports by key staff, such as engineers and County Clerks, and reports from Council committees (e.g. sales, works, finance).
