This series contains two Debt Attachment Books for the Small Debts Court of Ardlethan. While they do overlap each other in terms of date range, they do not contain the same information.
The volume containing information from 1917 to 1971 contains such information as: the number of plaint, the plaintiff’s name, the defendant’s name, the garnishee, the date of order, the amount writ is to go for, the date when sent, the date of return, the amount returned, and any remarks.
The volume dating from 1925 to 1974 numbers the entries by the year and number of the action. It also includes the name of the plaintiff, the name of the defendant, the date attachment was issued, the nature of the order, the date and nature of the subsequent order, garnishees, and any remarks.
