The Board of Studies for the New England University College was devised by the Warden of the University of Sydney on 13 April 1943.
It comprised of the senior lecturer in English, Latin, Mathematics, German, French, Psychology, Economics, History, Education, Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany and Geology.
The functions for the Board of Studies included advising the Warden on matters concerning courses of instruction and examination, as well as the awarding of scholarships and prizes.
The first volume of the Minutes is in a hard-bound volume in chronological order with both hand-written pages and later typed pages pasted in. The subsequent Minutes are typed loose papers, as is the Source Book. The Source Book comprises the business papers and attachments for the meetings which are typed and arranged in chronological order.
