Full description

Submissions to the Committee were invited by advertisement and personal letter from a broad cross-section of the State. The submissions were received from individuals and organisations including parents, teachers, academics, politicians, education administrators, Aboriginal groups, ethnic groups, teachers' organisations, and parents' and citizens' associations. Other organisations represented include the Autistic Association of New South Wales, the Australian Association of Special Education, the Australian Society for Music Education, the Australian Deafness Council, the Council of Churches of New South Wales, the Isolated Children's' Parents' Association, the New South Wales Association for Gifted and Talented Children, the New South Wales Science and Technology Council, the Women's Pioneer Association of Australia, the Working Group on School Counsellor Promotion and Status, and the Youth Affairs Council of New South Wales.

Submission No. 526 includes three video cassettes and one audio cassette. Submission Nos. 348, 444, 516, 567, 701, 715 and 728 have been cancelled.
