Full description
The Record of Condemnings was a register of items of equipment which had been designated to be of no further use or value to the school, and accordingly had been disposed of. These registers were printed in a standard format. At the head of each page the name of the school was entered. Below, the page was divided into columns. These columns recorded the date on which the item was condemned, the name of the item, the folio on which it appeared in the Stock or Equipment Book, its serial number, the signature of the officer authorised to condemn, the designation of this officer, the method of its disposal, the signature of the disposing officer, and their designation. A final column was provided for remarks. The series from Glenbawn Dam Public School consists of a single volume, of which only one page has been used. There are four entries on this page, each dated the 15th December, 1966, which was the final day of the school’s operation. These entries record the transfer of the items of equipment concerned to two other schools.
