This series consists of an accounting type ledger for the Lower Clarence County Council’s personnel and assets. The ledger is divided into the following sections:(1) Personnel wages and leave register - The register includes the following personal and service details: surname, first name, address, payroll number, file reference number, date service with Council commenced, termination date, salary increments/review date. There is a leave section with the following leave details: accrued leave; leave taken; leave balance and liability for annual, sick, long service, and special leave. The previous register containing most of these details is located at the back of the ledger and is described in point (4) below. There is also an employment history card showing employment classification for rate of salary, previous local government service, and workers compensation record. There are also forms for the disclosure of pecuniary interests by members and designated employees of Council.
(2) Assets register - this register of plant and equipment lists office furniture, tools, office library, 2 way radios, L.C. Augmentation, land buildings, mains – delivery, reservoirs, pumping plant, mains – reticulation, motor vehicles, plant and also records asset depreciation.
(3) Register of employees’ superannuation - only a few fields were used in the register: name of employee and their superannuation number, and details about payments and deductions for each year.
(4) Old Leave of Absence Register - this is the previous register to the Leave Register in the Ledger described in point (1) above and contains similar personal and leave details. The older Register was probably placed in the back of the Ledger when it was superseded. The older Leave of Absence Register was closed on 21 December 1987 and leave balances were transferred to the new Register.
The ledger is a large “screw down” accounting register.
