Full description

This series consists of minutes (mostly signed) and agenda papers for the meetings of the Academic Senate of Charles Sturt University (CSU). The series however, only contains minutes and agenda papers up until 1997. After this date, only agenda papers are included.

The minutes and agendas (which also included any attachments for the meetings) are all typed and arranged in chronological order. For each meeting the minutes are first, followed by the agenda and the attachments.

The minutes document the decisions and resolutions made by the Academic Senate. The following information is contained in the minutes: the date, place and time of the meeting; those people present at the meeting; apologies from people not able to attend; information and resolutions referred to the Committee for approval from other committees and the Board of Governors / Council; resolutions passed by the Committee itself; any correspondence tabled at the meeting; any general business arising; and the date, place and time of the next meeting.

The agendas outlined the format that the meetings followed and the matters that were to be addressed. This includes the attachments which gave members attending the meeting extra information pertaining to the topics for discussion on the agenda. Both the agendas and attachments were circulated prior to the meetings.

For those meetings where there are no minutes, only the agenda papers, the minutes can be found in the agenda for the following meeting. That is, the minutes of the meeting 1/91 will be located in the agenda for the meeting 2/91.
