Full description

This series consists of minutes and agenda papers for the meetings of the Executive Committee of Council of the Riverina College of Advanced Education (RCAE), and later the Riverina-Murray Institute of Higher Education (RMIHE). The Council was the governing body of the College/Institute.

The minutes and agendas (which also included any relevant attachments for the meetings) are all typed and arranged in chronological order. For each meeting the minutes are first, followed by the agenda and any papers or attachments.

The minutes document the decisions and resolutions made by the Executive Committee of Council. The following information is contained in the minutes: the date, place and time of the meeting; those people present at the meeting; apologies from people not able to attend; information and resolutions referred to the Committee from the Council; resolutions passed by the Executive Committee itself; any correspondence tabled at the meeting; any general business arising; and the date, place and time of the next meeting.

The agendas outlined the format that the meetings followed and the matters that were to be addressed. This includes the attachments which gave members attending the meeting extra information pertaining to the topics for discussion on the agenda. Both the agendas and attachments were circulated prior to the meetings.
