Full description

The Finance Committee issued policies and decisions on all monetary matters. The Minutes were created at least once per month and recorded chronologically.

These reports comprise the position of the general fund with the balance representing the amount available for further expenditure. The lists of accounts received by the Committee to be submitted to the General Council and lists of accounts for approval of payment are also included. These lists contain following information: number of voucher, to whom payable, ledger account to which chargeable, job order number and amount.

The Minute books until 1918 have not been located and may be not be extant. There is also a gap in the contents of this series for the period May 1959 - January 1977. There is a bundle of the Committee minutes covering period from January 1977 to December 1979.
