Contains loose papers, letters, circulars and reports relating to the State War Effort Co-ordination Committee, Northern District Co-ordination Control. Contents include: schedules showing personnel and addresses of emergency gangs, procedures and methods to be employed in mobilising and despatching shock and Reserve gangs, instructions to Pool Engineers, grouping of Engineers and Shock Gangs.3) Folder titled in handwritten ink 'N.E.S., containing loose papers, letters, memorandum, and booklets relating to National Emergency Services (NES) matters. Contents include: locality and plan of Walka Pumping Station, inward and outward messages sent from NES, Memorandums to members of rescue quads, instructions to Pool Engineers and Pool Architects, exercises to be conducted at Field Day and NES Rescue Squads Communications Chart.4) Folder titled in handwritten ink Emergency precautions. These records were created and maintained by various officers within the Hunter Water Board and were apparently collected because of their information content.They comprise:

1) Folder entitled on typed label "The Hunter District Water Board. Report covering the maintenance and repair organisation (emergency) which will function in the event of enemy action.". The folder has handwritten ink annotation "Section Engineer Mr S W Cooper". - The folder contains the report (undated) and some loose papers relating to ARP matters (Air Raid Precautions).
