The function of the executive committee of the Housekeepers Emergency Service was to receive information and to make high level decisions for the agency. These minutes record the resolutions of these meetings which were held at irregular intervals. The Committee received correspondence, regular reports from the Secretary and financial statements and dealt with a number of continuing matters including staff and working conditions, and the service delivery of the agency carried out through its various offices.

There were some special meetings devoted to a particular issue including planning housekeepers emergency scheme, social domestic help, activities in other countries and other new initiatives.
