Full description

These cards detail the various appointments occupied by each teacher in his or her career in NSW government schools or the Department of Education.

The cards show the following general information about the teacher - full name, sometimes qualifications, particulars of training, date of birth and date of entering the teaching service. Appointments are shown in a tabular format showing classification, date of award, position, school, class taught, date of notification of appointment, and salary. The card formats and the details contained on them vary slightly over time. For most married female teachers there is also a change of name card.

There are also cards for lecturers at Teacher Training Colleges. On the reverse side of these cards are details of publications and research undertaken.

When requesting cards please provide the teacher's name and check for the item in which the name range may be located.
