Full description

This series provides the names of Barristers, Solicitors and Conveyancers who were admitted to the Supreme Court under the Australian Courts Act 1828 (9. Geo. IV c83) and subsequent Acts regulating the registration of legal practitioners.

The series includes full name, date of admission and remarks for each barrister, advocate, attorney, solicitor and proctor admitted to the Supreme Court. Remarks include obituary details, place of admission and other details such as struck off, died, called to the bar, conditional for 12 months.

The roll of the Barristers, Solicitors, Attorneys and Proctors is a single document. The The Roll of Conveyancers is on a separate smaller format document interleaved with that of the other legal practitioners. For Conveyancers, full name and the date of the certificate are the only details recorded.
