The volumes contain brief minutes of proceedings at hearings before the Primary Judge in Equity (or, in the absence or illness of the Primary Judge, any other judge presiding) and the Full Court.Minutes show for each cause heard: date of hearing, names of litigants, in some cases names of respective counsel, nature of motions and applications of counsel (eg. motions to confirm Master's reports, to dissolve injunctions, amend pleadings, appoint commissioners to examine witnesses, directions regarding taxation of costs, petitions for appointment of Guardians etc.), in some cases stating grounds for motions or applications.
Orders (including orders in respect to the Master's annual reports on the accounts of committees of guardians and receivers) and judgments of the Court are recorded, and indicate, in some cases, grounds for the decision and/or the substance of the order or judgment delivered. Occasionally the number of exhibits tendered in evidence and witnesses examined are noted.
