Full description
This volume lists the pupils at the school on a monthly basis and notes the days on which they attended school. It was kept by the teacher Matthew Hughes who was appointed Master of the Public School at Richmond by Governor Hunter in 1799, a position he held at least until 1827.
On the cover it is addressed "O.H.M.S. Frederick Goulburn Esq. J.P., Colonial Secretary's Office, Sydney".

The volume was an archival estray which was acquired from Mrs E.M. Hughes.
