Full description

These indexes to friendly society document registers are arranged alphabetically by society. Details recorded are running registration file number, full name of society and date of registration. The listing of branches within societies, which is chronological by date of registration, records the running registration file number, full name of branch, location, branch number and date of registration. Each volume contains dated amendments (eg. amalgamations, cancellation of registration, change of name).

At the back of each volume, listings titled "Single Societies" and "Miscellaneous" are chronologically arranged by date of registration. Details given are the running registration file number, full name of society, location and date of registration. Amendments are also recorded.

Volumes 2, 3 & 4 up-date the preceding index, current entries only being transferred.
