This series contains reports of the Directorate of War Grave Services of deaths of soldiers, internees and prisoners of war which include Italians, Japanese and Indonesians.

Each report includes details of full name of soldier, service, official number, usual place of residence, age, place of birth, sex, occupation, state of enlistment, name and occupation of father, name of spouse, where married, age when married and names and ages of children, date and place and cause of death, department certifying death, name, address and description of informant (usually the Director of War Graves Services) and particulars of burial or cremation.

The volumes are arranged alphabetically by surname with cross references to aliases.
