Subsequent to approval from the Public Service Board the Records Management Office compiled a functional thesaurus for the Department of Youth and Community Services, in conjunction with the General Administrative (known as the G.A.D.M.) Thesaurus, as a test case for the implementation of the keyword system throughout the Public Service.

Updating and amending the functional thesaurus is undertaken by the Department of Youth and Community Services, with the Records Management Office maintaining an advisory role only.
