This volume appears to be a diary kept by a construction engineer of the Roads Branch. Entries in the diary record the date; the type, quantity and cost of materials (such as blue metal or rubble) received; the names, wages paid and work undertaken by maintenance men or temporary employees, and the location and type of work undertaken.
