Full description

This series is the minutes of meetings of the Patents Committee from its inception on 31 January 1934 to 10 September 1969. They detail the establishment of the Committee, procedures and consideration given to inventions submitted, including transcripts of interviews with officers submitting inventions. The inventions included: prevention of silica dust by pneumatic drills; prevention and eradication of marine borers; adjustable platform for ladders; system of crating pipes; hydrant plant; high tension fuse; composing machine gauge; apparatus for locating transmission line faults; and supply of power to travelling cranes.
