The cards apparently refer to a number of correspondence series which are either subject categories or branches of the Department. Within these categories are cards for correspondence with other government departments, non-government organisations and individuals. The former are arranged alphabetically by department in two-year intervals and show number of letter, correspondent and subject. The latter are arranged alphabetically by both correspondent and subject, showing letter number.(3/20946-21030) 85 boxes
