The Dormant Funds Act, 1942 empowers the Public Trustee as Commissioner of Dormant Funds to investigate and dispose of non-operative funds acquired by trustees for charitable or other public purposes. These files relate to such dormant funds of: the Abermain Literacy Institute, Australia's British War Memorial Appeal, Hadley Bequest Fund, Margaret Dalrymple Hay Prize Fund, Kelly's Plains Hall Fund, Trangie School of Arts Fund, Coolah School of Arts Fund, Yass Turf Club and NSW Schools for Blind and Visually Handicapped Children's Parents and Citizens' Association Fund.
