These files relate to Section 12 (v) and (v.1) of the Public Trustee Act, and to the Damages (Infants and Persons of Unsound Mind) Act. They involve cases where infants (children up to 18 years of age) have been awarded damages by the Court and the money is administered by the Public Trustee. In regard to "persons of unsound mind", the damages awarded are paid to the person's committee, the manager of his/her estate, or to the Master in Lunacy (later Master in the Protective Jurisdiction and Protective Commissioner).
