Full description
These are copies of letters sent to the Premier, the Ministerial and permanent heads of departments relating to appointment and grading of officers, the re-organisation of the Service and other functions of the Board. There are also a few letters to other officials and individuals, copies of some reports to the Board and some reports of Board inquiries. Most of the letters deal with staff appointments. Both volumes are labelled "Private".
This series is continued in the series Minutes recommending appointment of officers, 29 June 1897-18 March 1922 (8/141-61).
