These files illustrate the varying nature of Police functions. Matters represented in this series include missing persons, missing stock, maintenance matters, destruction of finger-prints, disposal of motor vehicles, importation of prohibited ammunition and firearms, towing fees, carnal knowledge, complaints against police, appointment of special constables, vexatious complaints, requests to interview police, newspaper cuttings from national newspapers, morgue attendants' fees, checks of proposed justices of the peace, and enquiries carried out by Police in relation to individuals or firms.File No. 68/75103 located in 12/2010, refers to the unveiling of a monumental cairn to the memory of Police Constable Edmund Parry, near Jugiong 16 November 1968. He was shot by a member of Ben Hall's gang. A history of the activities of the bushrangers is included in this file.
