These are the papers of Kenneth Smithers, who was appointed the first Ombudsman in April 1975 and left the position in 1981. The papers consist of correspondence, reports and miscellaneous literature on various subjects, and policy matters relating to the Ombudsman Act, the Office of the Ombudsman and investigations.
