These files are arranged in a continuous running number sequence and comprise the following categories: non-jurisdictional complaints which are re-directed to appropriate agencies (5% of files); misunderstandings with government agencies which are usually resolved quickly by letter (60%); and complaints which require more lengthy investigations (35%).
Control of this series is:
Part by the Ombudman (excludes records under the control of the Office of the Children's Guardian) and
Part by the Office of the Children's Guardian for those records relating to Part 4 Reportable Conduct under the Children's Guardian Act 2019 (Act No.25, 2019).
