The papers comprise correspondence relating to the proposed National Park and its foundation, Specifications for clearing of land, Conditions of employment of men engaged upon road making, Government Gazette extracts 1879, draft minutes of the National Park Trust General Meeting, 4 May 1885, memoranda of leases and tracings of the land set aside as the Park.

The papers were taken from the iron chest marked "National Park Trust".
