The Board of Trustees of Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park, established in 1894, had its inaugural meeting on 25 July 1894.

Included with the minutes of meetings of the Trust are the minutes of meetings of the Executive Committee, the first record of which seems to appear on 25 July 1902, and which continued to meet until July 1937, when it was decided that in place of the Executive Committee there would be sub-committees appointed for the preparation of reports on specific matters. The trustees also made regular tours of inspection of the National Park, and records of the proceedings of these visits are included in most of these volumes.
