This series is the correspondence files of the Kosciusko State Park Trust relating to the care, control and management of the Kosciusko State Park and subsequently the Kosciusko National Park.

As these correspondence files were maintained in the Snowy Mountains Regional Office they contain a mixture of recordkeeping references that reflect the larger administrative arrangements.

Most of the files are arranged by the Kosciusko State Park Trust alpha-numeric classification system.

The Parks and Reserves, Miscellaneous Branch of the Department of Lands transferred the custody of two records to the Kosciusko State Park Trust; ('Pks' prefix). These related to the establishment of the Kosciusko State/National Park. The custody of these records was transferred to the Kosciusko State Park Trust and form part of the series of correspondence files.

These files include such matters as: lease arrangements, surveys, letters of gratitude and correspondence with Kosciusko Thredbo Pty Ltd.

The physical formats of the records are foolscap papers attached to a backing sheet by a file pin.
