These files, which bear a "M" prefix, relate to policy and general administrative matters. Some files have correspondence of the Fauna Protection Panel dating back to 1955.

The files relate to policy and major management matters, major proposals for new park areas, examples of use of parks by organisations and commercial companies for various activities, financial matters and budget estimates, extension and training matters, major publications of the Service, minutes of committees, press releases and major publicity matters (including newspaper cuttings), and examples of correspondence with individuals, private and government organisations (including ministerial representations).
