Full description

On 11 July 1971 the Deputy Premier and Minister for Education and Science, the Honourable C.B. Cutler, announced the appointment of a committee to inquire into student teacher wastage in New South Wales.

A total of 129 submissions were made to the Committee and copies of these were available only to the Committee members (Dr Harold F. Bell, Miss Doreen Langly and Mr Phillip W. Hughes) and the senior staff assisting the Committee.

A report of the Committee was tabled in the Legislative Assembly on 21 September 1971 and a copy is also filed with the submissions.
