Full description

This volume was probably compiled in accordance with the provisions of 39 Vic. no.11 that the Colonial Secretary "shall cause to be made proper indices to such certificates" (of naturalization). For each person issued with a certificate of naturalization it shows: the name; native place; the date of certificate; and the relevant volume and page numbers in the register. In the front of the volume is a list of persons to whom letters of denization were granted and a copy of a circular relating to naturalization certificates.
