Full description

Each register gives the following information: local number of application; date of application and date and hour of receipt; names of applicants; description of lease and locality; area; date of notice to survey; name of surveyor; date of receipt of plan and when forwarded to Warden or Department, as the case may be.

Volume 3/1755 appears to be a register of mineral lease applications from Newcastle which were sent to the Warden at East Maitland. The date the application was received at East Maitland is noted. In Volume 3/1749 there is the notation "Entered in new Book". From August 1907 all entries for mineral lease applications are to be found in the series Registers of applications for leases. The last five entries in volume 3/1749, numbered 1 to 5, duplicate the first five entries in volume 3/1750 of this series.
