The papers at 5/3248.4 include the Mining Assessors Roll for 1896 showing name and residence of each assessor; various printed circulars from the Mines Department and public notices concerning rent due on leases to be posted outside Warden's Clerk Office; various memoranda from Mines Department notifying the Warden's Clerk of prospecting aid granted to persons within the mining division stating amount of aid; to whom and purpose for which aid has been granted; in-letters of the Warden's Clerk concerning requests for advice about mining regulations and other local mining affairs.
