Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas Biodiversity Strategic Assessment

Brief description

Point and polygon biodiversity data that forms the
basis of the Northern and Western Geelong Growth Areas strategic assessment
dataset. This data includes survey records of matters of national environmental
significance, native vegetation, and potential habitat for threatened species.

The dataset will be used for:

• At the strategic scale to guide
  decision-making on the location and extent of native vegetation and fauna
  habitat that will be retained and removed as part of the future
  development of the precincts;

• The preparation of the Plan and
  strategic impact assessment report under the EPBC Act; and

• The preparation of native
  vegetation precinct plans for Elcho Road East and Creamery Road and any
  precinct structure plans that come on to the development program in
  2023/24.
