The purpose of this research was to write a comprehensive history of Methodism in Australia, 1812-1977 and after. Chapter 2 (approx. 10,000 words), written by Professor Prentis, is entitled Methodism in NSW, 1855-1902, which covers the period from the formation of a NSW Methodist District in 1855 to Methodist reunion and federation in 1902.
