These files illustrate the varying nature of Police functions. Matters represented in this series include missing persons, missing stock, maintenance matters, destruction of finger-prints, disposal of motor vehicles, importation of prohibited ammunition and firearms, towing fees, carnal knowledge, complaints against police, appointment of special constables, vexatious complaints, requests to interview police, newspaper cuttings from national newspapers, morgue attendants' fees, checks of proposed justices of the peace, and enquiries carried out by Police in relation to individuals or firms.
