Full description
This dataset comprises phenotypic and genomic measurements from a crop rotation study evaluating genetically diverse mungbean (Vigna radiata) genotypes and their legacy effects on subsequent wheat (Triticum aestivum) performance. The experiment was conducted in Queensland, Australia in 2024 to assess the potential for breeding pulse crops to enhance rotational benefits in cereal-based farming systems. The dataset includes measurements from 309 mungbean accessions in a mini-core diversity panel (biomass, NDRE and yield) and corresponding wheat performance data (yield, NDRE and grain protein) collected from a single wheat cultivar grown in the same plot locations following mungbean harvest. Molecular marker information for all mungbean genotypes is provided to enable haplotype mapping of genomic regions associated with both direct crop performance and rotational legacy traits. All phenotypic data include spatial experimental design variables (row, column, replicate)Issued: 04 11 2025
