Brief description

The Mineral Deposits and Mineral Resources OGC service provides data from Geoscience Australia’s OZMIN database in EarthResourceML 2.0 and ERML Lite 1.0 and associated contextual layers in simple WMS and WFS formats.

Lineage

Statement: Source data are collated from company reports and geological journals. Data is checked for QA, valid spatial locations and must be open file before publication. Only the most recent mineral resources and grades are published. The web service was migrated to new infrastructure in August 2020. This resulted in a change to the service endpoint URL from http://services.ga.gov.au/earthresource/ows to https://services.ga.gov.au/gis/earthresource/ows.
